Chairman
Jinawara Dharmawardana as the Chairman of the Board leads the development and execution of business strategies of IMS and its affiliated Companies spearheading growth of each company under IMS umbrella ensuring excellent customer service. Known as “Dharma” among International Chemical Industry attributes over 40 years of experience hailing from then chemical giant Bayer AG in 1977 and subsequently with many such chemical raw material manufacturers. His leadership experience to IMS team is regarded as the driving force to success in the supply chain of Chemical Raw Materials in global operations. His acclaimed knowledge in every sector of the industry had strongly contributed to establish foreign partnerships. He earned a degree in Natural Sciences from University of Ceylon, Colombo and holds Directorships in seven companies.
C. W. Jayasekera
Director
C. W. Jayasekara as a Board Director holds executive responsibility of the associate company IMS Holdings (Pvt) Ltd which serves the local locomotive industry and the medical industry and joint venture investments to back the local economy. Being a Charted Chemist by profession, he was instrumental in setting up of bio diversity prospecting laboratory jointly with Cornel Research Foundation of USA. His 40 years hands on experience in mining & processing of Graphite, Rock Phosphate & Minerals together with the production management experience on the floor as Works Manager of Pencil manufacturing keeps IMS Team abreast with technology and operational solutions. He earned his Hon. Degree from University of Ceylon Peradeniya and Masters from University of Colombo.
Samitha Senevirathne
Director
Samitha Seneviratne as a Board Director holds executive responsibility at IMS and of several associate companies that IMS provide strategic direction to ensure the needs of the industrial markets and customers we serve. He adds to IMS team over 27 years of international business operations & supply chain experience specializing in the sectors of Pharma, Personal Care and Processed Food Packaging industries. His services to the said sectors are honored with accolades by Multinational Corporates as well. He had shouldered several expansion projects of the Company in establishing renewable energy, green fertilizer and sugar milling etc. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Science from University of Colombo and MBA from Warnborough College Ireland.
K. B. Dushmantha
Finance Director
Dushmantha brings nearly 20 years of strategic financial management experience to the IMS Leadership Team. Over his career, he has held executive positions providing leadership and financial expertise in working capital management, cost accounting, mergers and acquisitions, investor relations, and audit management. He holds the total responsibility for all corporate financial activities including accounting, risk management, controllership, information services, corporate developments, tax & trade compliances, investor relations, acquisitions, and restructuring activities. He scrutinizes all fiscal activities including budgeting, reporting& auditing while guiding and assisting with high level decisions in policy & strategy. He is a Chartered Accountant with top notch finance controlling experience and holds memberships at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and The Institute of Certified Management Accountant of Sri Lanka.
